I’d been thinking about writing a letter to my younger self for a while now. I thought that I would have a million and one things to say to my younger self. Advice I wish I’d listened to, hints and tips, things to do, things not to do.
But when it came down to actually writing this letter, I realised that I only had one thing that I would say to my younger self. And then I realised, what is the point in giving my younger self advice when I don’t even follow it right now?
So here is a letter to my younger self, my older self and my…now…self
Listen carefully because I am only going to say this 8,472 more times – STOP BEING SO SCARED. Stop being scared of what can go wrong. Stop being scared of doing something wrong. Stop being scared of what people think. Stop being scared of living life to the fullest. Stop being scared of trying new things. Stop being scared of failing. Stop being scared of change. Stop being scared of everything.
How many things/situations/events/opportunities do you think you have missed out on because you were scared?
Just stop. Being. So. Scared.
Current Lisa – Please, please, please take this advice now. I don’t want to be looking back in 10/15 years and realise that I missed out on opportunities because I was too scared to go for them. It’s time to stop being scared and start being BRAVE.
Take note of the below and remember it:
Have confidence in yourself. You got this.
I know that this is a super short post, but this is everything that I wanted to say right now. I might have more advice for myself in the future, in which case I’ll write another letter to myself.
