Looking back at November

Welcome to my next ‘Looking back’ post – Looking Back At November 2020! If you missed the first Looking Back where I explained it, the first post of each month will be a monthly round-up of the month before. That’s a lot of month in that paragraph!

I’ll be honest. This is only going to be a short post. November has not been a great month for me.

So, let’s get into looking back at November, shall we?

Seeing Friends and Family

Obviously not! It’s the same for everyone though so I’m not going to grumble too much. I had a girls night planned (just coffee, not out on the town or anything!) that I really needed and that had to be cancelled  I miss my mum, I miss my sister, my mother in law, my friends. I miss hugs from them all.

Little J

You know it’s bad when Little J gets a whole section to himself! Just when I think his temper tantrums cannot possibly get any worse, he manages to kick it up a gear. He has been off the chart most days. We’re hopefully getting some professional advice as me and Daz don’t know where to go from here! Obviously, you can expect a post in the future letting you know how that goes!

My Weight

I neither gained nor lost this month. I’m actually really surprised that I haven’t gained as I’ve been eating pizza and chocolate like it was going out of date! I’ve also had one or two drinks. I’m not going to beat myself up about it though!

Mental Health

November was not a good month for my mental health. It might just be my body adjusting to my lower dose of sertraline but I have NOT been in a good place! I’m moody, tired, emotional and my skin has gone all dry. I feel fed up pretty much all of the time. I’m worried about literally everything, and my panic attacks have started to make a bit of a comeback.

But, I’m working to pick myself back up and I’ve been doing a little bit better more recently so we’ll see how it goes!

My DA went up 1 point again! Yay! Hopefully, I can keep it there this time and then improve on it.

I think because my mental health is all over the place and Little J’s temper tantrums are taking it out of me, I have lost a lot (okay, ALL) of my motivation. The head start I gave myself during my blogging break has gone now and I am so annoyed at myself! I am not any good at managing my time!

So, what I’m going to do is take a little bit of time off so that I can catch up again! I haven’t decided if I’m still going to post to social media or if I’ll do what I did before and take the time to write. I’ll see how the mood takes me.

New Hobby

I have taken up a new hobby thanks to my mother in law, Marion. I have started making cards! She very kindly gifted me a whole LOAD of incredible card and craft things. I’m loving it! I’m not very good at it, but I’m having fun, look:

I even made some wrapping paper!

It’s all very professional, as you can tell!

I’ll be making all my own Christmas cards this year and I’m really excited about it.

Did I Achieve My Goals?

These were my goals that I set in October for November

  1. Reach out to brands/other bloggers for collaborations/guest posts – The lovely Smelly Socks and Garden Peas actually reached out to me and I’ll be writing a guest piece for her blog which I’m super excited about! I’ll let you know once it’s live
  2. Schedule and start writing up posts until the end of the year – Nope!

Goals For December

I’ve giving myself the month off from goals.

That’s it from me for now. Told you it was going to be a short one! This is actually my last Looking back post for this year as the next one will be published in January!

Thanks for looking back at November with me!

Lisa you should be very proud of what you have achieved with your blog. Not only has it been a tough year, you have conjured so many hurdles, and yet you have continued to provide your readers with honesty beautifully written blogs. And now you have a little outlet in crafting to do as and when you can. Making a gift you have enjoyed creating, to then pass onto someone else and make them happy. Please don’t doubt yourself your doing such amazing job. I am so so proud of the person you have become and see you face life head on . Here to 2021 xxx
