Don’t say it, don’t say it, don’t say it…
How is it October already?!
I’ll be truthful, I don’t really have a great deal to say about September. It’s gone by so fast that it feels like a bit of a blur in all honesty. Do you feel like that too? I feel like I struggled a bit with the loss of my dad and auntie as well so it’s been a bit of an off month for me, so I’m quite glad to be going into October.
Anyway, let’s get into looking back at September 2021.
I finally decided to start decluttering this month. I. Am. OBSESSED. I love getting rid of things. I’ve done some car boot sales with my sister (5:15am I have to get up. 5 AM!), I’ve sold things on Music Magpie, sold a handbag on Vinted, and given away more books than I can count. It feels great to have more space and make a little money too!
Where we’ve been decluttering, it’s sparked a love of cleaning and deep cleaning. I’ve cleaned the washing machine and even tackled the filter (with help from Daz!), got rid of water marks on our glass shower door, and even cleared the stubborn limescale on our taps. It was driving me mad and do you know what finally cleared it? A two pence piece. Seriously. It’s a Mrs. Hinch hack (I’d never even said that woman’s name before last month!) I wish that I had taken before and after pictures to show you because it looks incredible.
Next on the list is the windows. I WILL take before and after pictures for those because I’ll think you’ll be amazed.
Because of cleaning and decluttering, I haven’t really wanted to blog. I’m always looking for the next thing that can be cleaned. Plus, I’m so tired at the moment that I’m falling asleep at around 10:30 (which is really unusual for me) and the evening is usually when I blog, so that’s a bit of a problem.
I just need to find that right mix between cleaning, blogging, and continuing with my spiritual practice. Any tips are welcome!
However, I do have ideas for future posts that I want to write and my blog spam score has gone down so it’s not all bad!
I’ve been in a bit of a weird place recently. Like I said above, I started decluttering and cleaning and it’s led to me not being able to sit down and relax. I feel like I constantly need to be doing something. That is not like me at all, and I can tell it’s not good for me as I’m frequently getting headaches and being worn out early in the evening. However, I just can’t stop. It’s very bizarre, but I know that I need to take it easy otherwise I’m going to burn myself out!
What I’m Watching
Well, Strictly Come Dancing has returned to our screens so we’ve been watching that on a Saturday night (yes, we are that rock n’ Roll!) Also, where I’ve been in a weird mood, I have been really indecisive about what to watch to so I’ve just stuck to things that I’ve seen a million times already!
What I’ve Loved This Month
TikTok, God help me. Just the cleaning videos. I can’t stop watching them. I have a problem!
Our shed needed a little bit of work done last month. We had to take everything out of it and unfortunately, I wasn’t able to get into my garden for a week so it’s gone to pot a little sadly. A lot of my plants didn’t get watered for about two weeks so they have all withered and died. I think that I’m going to need to do some pruning and pull up the dead plants and start again next year, which actually, I’m really looking forward to!
And that’s it for this month. Thanks for looking back at September 2021 with me!
