*GIFTED* I have always had a slightly unhealthy obsession with toiletries and cosmetics, right from a young age. I just love discovering new products, whether it’s makeup, shower gels, bubble bath, scrubs, and everything in between. More recently, I have become obsessed with finding products that can brighten and even my skin tone along with taking care of my spot prone skin. So when I was given a chance to test the new serums from The Pro co. I couldn’t wait to try them!
The Pro Co.
Before we get into the products, I want to talk about the company that has made these serums. The Pro Co. is a beauty company whose products are 75-100% natural, vegan, and cruelty-free. In recent years veganism has become a lifestyle choice for so many people, so it’s excellent that The Pro Co. has a range of suitable products for Vegans to use.
The Pro Co. never test on animals, and all of their products are made in the UK.
The other great thing about this company is the packaging of the serums is 98% plastic-free! As you know, plastic waste has been such a major issue recently, and I’ve been keen to try and reduce my plastic waste. So the fact that they have been able to produce packaging that is 98% plastic-free is incredible, in my opinion!
Can you name another beauty brand that does all these things?
The Serums
The serums that I have been using are:
20% Vitamin C with hyaluronic Acid

This serum will:
- Give an instant glow
- Even skin tone
- Protect skin from pollution and UV
- Improve hydration
- Repair skin damage
I know the idea of putting something on your skin with acid in the name is scary, but hyaluronic acid is actually incredible! Hyaluronic acid helps keep the skin moisturised and plump! Your skin naturally produces hyaluronic acid, but your skin may not produce as much due to ageing and other factors.
This serum also helps reduce the appearance of age spots, helps increase the skin’s firmness AND also helps reduce blemishes and acne. No wonder it’s called a Super Serum! I could not wait to try this one! My poor acne-prone skin needs some love!
7% Encapsulated Retinol Serum

This serum will help improve the appearance of:
- Fine lines and wrinkles
- Large pores
- Acne
- Sun damage
- Overall skin texture
You may have heard of Retinol before, being used in anti-ageing products as it helps reduce fine lines and wrinkles. It does this by increasing the production of collagen and elastin. But Retinol is also great for acne, which is a massive bonus for those who still suffer from acne (doesn’t my skin realise that I’m not a teenager anymore?!)
Eye Rescue Serum

This serum will help:
- Fade Dark Circles
- Reduce fine lines
- Improve circulation
- Increase radiance
- Soften pigmented skin
The key ingredients for the eye serum include cocoa butter, which is antioxidant and anti-inflammatory; seaweed extract, which boosts micro-circulation; grape seed oil, which eliminates free radicals and Chlorella Vulgaris, which protects and restructures.
I have suffered from dark circles under my eyes since day dot. Throw a baby into the mix and well…there was no hope for me, really 😔 So the idea of a serum to make it all better is super exciting to me!
My thoughts
I used the 20% Vitamin C with hyaluronic acid in the morning, 7% Encapsulated Retinol Serum in the evening and the Eye Rescue twice a day.
20% Vitamin C with hyaluronic Acid
As per the instructions, I used 1-2 drops of the Vitamin C serum in the morning, and straight away, it gave me that promised glow. It wasn’t a blinding ‘you’ll need sunglasses glow’, but more subtle, which I loved. It has a slight scent but is not overpowering, which is good.
7% Encapsulated Retinol Serum
Again, all you need of this serum is 1-2 drops. It smooths into the skin easily and leaves my skin feeling soft, smooth, and non-greasy. It isn’t heavy on the skin either.
Eye Rescue Serum
The Eye Rescue Serum only requires one drop per eye, which you apply after the facial serums. With this one, it did require a little more work to rub it into the skin, but this just gives you a chance to give your eyes a nice little massage. Don’t rub too hard, though! All you need is gentle strokes, usually with your middle or ring finger, as you use less pressure with these.
When I asked my husband how I looked after using the eye serum, he said I looked less tired. Believe me; I’m actually delighted with that compliment!
I’ve always been a bit wary of using serums before. I have pretty oily skin, and the idea of putting a serum on my skin just made me worry about making it slick and shiny looking.
I was pleasantly surprised when I used the serums for the first time. All three of them have such a light texture that they smoothed onto my skin lovely and were absorbed within seconds. And they didn’t leave my skin feeling greasy, which is always a major concern.
I’ve really enjoyed using these serums. I feel like I’m giving my skin the TLC that it needs without spending a fortune or spending hours each morning and night applying lotions and potions. In the time I’ve been using them, I feel like my skin is looking brighter, softer, and fresher. I’m looking forward to seeing the results with continued use!
A little treat
So now it’s time for the cost of these incredible serums…£7.99 each. You’d pay more than that for a fancy coffee and slice of cake at a coffee shop! Plus, as you only need 1-2 drops, and you get 30ml in there, these little serums will last you. And there’s more……for a limited time, you can also get 20% off these products!
