I love skincare and I love a good Beauty Box. It’s like getting a gift from yourself each month, isn’t it? Before I fell pregnant, I used to subscribe to Glossy Box. However, some months, I found the products to be a little bit on the cheaper side. Most months, I hadn’t heard of the products, and they didn’t feel very ‘luxury’.
Due to going onto maternity pay, I decided to cancel my subscription as I wasn’t sure if I would be able to afford it anymore. Even though I wasn’t always a fan of the products, I missed that excitement each month of wondering what I was going to get.
So I decided recently that I would subscribe to another beauty box. I did my research and decided upon lookfantasic @ £15.00 per month.
Last month, the box was filled with amazing goodies, and I couldn’t wait to receive Mays lookfantasic Beauty Box.
Mays Beauty Box
Mays theme is Botanical. The box was filled with gentle, natural products, free from toxins and suitable for sensitive skin. Perfect. I couldn’t wait to get stuck in!
Magnitone Wipe Out Eco-friendly Microfibre Cleansing Cloth
I was super happy to receive this item in Mays lookfantasic Beauty Box as I’ve wanted an eco-friendly option for removing make-up. The only thing is, due to being on lockdown, I haven’t actually been wearing make-up, so I haven’t had a chance to use it yet!
It all seems very simple, though – Just pop the cleansing cloth in warm water and wipe away your make-up. No cleanser is needed. AND this cleansing cloth can be used 1,000’s of times, so a much better alternative to wipes and better for your skin too.
Korres Hydra-Biome Probiotic Superdose Face Mask
This smells amazing! This face mask is meant to be great for sensitive skin, so that’s a massive bonus for me! It rehydrates, reduces redness, and rebalances the skin’s natural protective layer.
When I popped this mask on, my skin just drank it all in – it obviously needed some nourishment. My skin did feel pretty fantastic after using it.
I want to purchase this again, but I wasn’t actually able to find it on the lookfantasic website!
Dr. Lipp 100% Natural Moisturising Lip Tint
Worth £3.00 – sample size
I was really excited when I saw the word tint as I’m after something long-lasting and not tacky like some long-lasting lipsticks. Imagine my disappointment when I realised that this was a lip balm.
I was even more disappointed when I first tried it and found it was a glossy, sticky lip balm. However, since then, it has not left my side. After rubbing my lips together and warming the product up, it gives a gorgeous, tinted shine that I adore.
This lip balm is made up of just four natural ingredients. I will definitely be repurchasing this once it runs out, and at £7.99 for a full size, that’s not bad.
Eyeko Eyebrow Gel
Since lockdown hit us, I’ve been ‘growing out’ my eyebrows. I did a slight tidy-up of them, but I’ve mostly left them to be wild, so an eyebrow gel is extremely handy.
The colour is a subtle brown, with a hint of a shimmer to it. It holds my brows in place without making them feel ‘stiff’. The formula is also enriched with ingredients to help condition and thicken the brow hairs.
I will have the big fluffy brows of my dreams!
Avant Ultimate Hyaluronic Acid Resurfacing Duo Moisturiser
I actually Googled this to check, and sure enough, this moisturiser retails at £100.00! Due to my skin condition, I am always a bit wary of using different products on my face but so far, so good.
This product aims to hydrate your skin, tighten and reduce the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles and help with dark undereye circles.
My skin definitely does feel soft and hydrated. I will be very sad when this runs out as there is no way I’ll be able to afford another!
Balance Me Hyaluronic Plumping Mist
This plumping mist can be used instead of your usual toner, to fix your makeup and cool your face throughout the day. It claims to instantly plump and hydrate the skin, reduce redness and brighten dull skin. All you need to do is spray it onto the skin and pat it in until completely dry.
I actually do feel like it has already made a difference to my skin. It definitely feels plumper and looks brighter. At £18.00 for 30ml, I would consider buying this, especially if it goes on offer!
I am over the moon with May’s lookfantasic Beauty Box. It is filled with quality products that I have not only used but loved so far. I will be extremely upset when some of these run out!
The products in Mays lookfantasic Beauty Box total £142.40! (I did double-check every product online to make sure!) Not bad for, only £15.00!
*UPDATE – Unfortunately, because Mays lookfantasic Beauty Box is in high demand, it is now out of stock.
