Looking Back At November 2021

We’re officially in Christmas month! I’ve been feeling Christmassy and watching Christmas movies since we entered November, so I’m delighted to be in December finally. It feels more acceptable! I know everyone says this every year, but hasn’t this year gone quickly? There has been a lot going on in my life this year, and I’m both looking forward to leaving this year behind and feeling a bit sad.

Anyway, let’s into looking back at November 2021!

I Went To A Wedding!

One of my best friends got married in November! It was a beautiful day (albeit a bit chilly!) The bride looked absolutely stunning, the groom looked handsome, and the bridesmaids looked beautiful. The day went without a hitch, and I was able to catch up with friends that I’d not seen in the longest time.

It was so good actually to get dressed up too. I can’t remember the last time I had a chance to do my hair and makeup and put a dress on. Unfortunately, I couldn’t afford a new dress, so I wore one of my ‘classics’. I’m pretty sure I told everyone there that the dress I was wearing was purchased in 2012!

You might remember me talking about it last month, but I was ill at the start of November. We’re not too sure what it was? It was either a stomach bug or food poisoning, but it wasn’t fun. Anyway, we were worried that I wouldn’t be well enough to go to the wedding, but obviously, we made it!

Blogging

I’ve been loving blogging this month. The fact that I am now an affiliate for a few places is brilliant. I have had so many ideas for Christmas guides (as you’ve probably noticed!)

Unfortunately, I haven’t actually made any money yet. I have made a few pounds, but I haven’t reached the payment threshold as of yet, so it won’t be paid out until then. I’m not discouraged, though, as I know it can take a long time for affiliate marketing to take off. I’ll keep trying 🙂

I also have a desk that I can work at. Before, I was just sitting at our tiny kitchen table or on the sofa. Having a desk makes me feel very professional! It has given me such a boost and makes me feel like I’m actually working now!

Mental Health

My mental health was pretty good in November. The only time I had a hiccup was after having a glass or two of Prosecco at the wedding. I thought that one or two would be okay, but unfortunately, not. So I’m back to being teetotal, which is fine by me.

I do have a significant win with my mental health, though. I’ve always had problems going to bed at night. I get tired before Darren, so I usually go to sleep before him. Like other people, I find that my mind has a chance to wander when I go to bed, and it’s there that I get my panic attacks. To combat that, I would always fall asleep on the sofa and go up to bed after an hour or so, where I would fall asleep quickly.

Anyway, I’ve been able to go to bed the last month without falling asleep on the sofa first. It has been incredible, and I LOVE it! I

What I’m Watching

So, I am totally late to the party, but I finally watched The Queens Gambit. Who knew that Chess could be so interesting? I was gripped! If you have been on the fence about watching it, I highly recommend it. Yes, it involves Chess, but it’s not about Chess.

I’ve also started on Hawkeye on Disney+. It’s no secret that Hawkeye is probably the most boring Avenger; bless him. I did go into it not expecting much, but I was pretty happy to be proved wrong on this occasion. Some of it has been a little silly, but on the whole, I’m enjoying it so far. It has all the action and humour that you expect from Marvel.

What I’ve Loved This Month

I treated myself to a piece of jewellery. I wanted something with the ashes from my dad and auntie. Initially, I was going to go for a charm for my bracelet, but it would have meant two different charms, which would have cost me over £250!

I don’t have that kind of money!

So, when my sister discovered Castle Silver Jewellery, we were thrilled. We could incorporate my dad and auntie within the ring but keep their ashes separate. Hollie, from Castle Silver Jewellery, was lovely and kept me up to date with the making of the rings (my sister got an identical one.)

I couldn’t be happier with it. I love the fact that I can keep a little bit of them both close to me ❤️

A ring is on Lisa's middle finger. The ring has two parts and is twisted. One section of the ring is blue, and the other section is red. The ring contains ashes from her dad and auntie

What Went Well This Month

I had a tapping session with Metaphysical Mama in November, which was just incredible. It was a free one-hour session, and I learned things in that one hour that I hadn’t learnt during previous therapy sessions with two different therapists. Tiffany was wonderful. She was kind and patient and took the time to listen to me. Then she showed me all of the tapping points and even wrote out a script for me to repeat whilst I do it.

The hour just flew by, and it was time to hang up before I knew it.

I have been practising the tapping points if I notice that my anxiety has begun to creep in. I’m happy to report that so far, so good. If you find that you suffer from anxiety, I cannot recommend Tiffany from Metaphysical Mama enough.

Conclusion

There is my November. I feel like it was quite a good month. I would have liked to earn a bit more money than £2.50, but it’s still early days. I’m manifesting big things for 2022!
