It’s March! Weren’t we just in March only a few weeks ago? Honestly, where is the time going?? February was quite a good month as it was my birthday! It was a bit upsetting not being able to see my family and friends but I still had a good day with Daz and Little J. We treated ourselves to a Chinese (from the shop, not the take away) and we had two servings of duck pancakes. It was deeeelish!
It was also my mother-in-laws 60 birthday, so we had a virtual quiz night and Zoom afternoon tea. And another birthday shoutout goes to our Auntie Carol, whose birthday was at the start of February. Lots of FaceTiming and Zooming in February!
Without any further ado, let’s get into looking back at February 2021
Blogging
As everyone is fully aware by now, my motivation for blogging has been extremely up and down. Currently, I am feeling fairly motivated. One of my goals recently has been to get 1,000 views per month and so far I have managed this for the last 4 months. Woohoo! I’ve even had some ideas for future posts so I’m doing okay at the moment. I hope it continues!!
My Weight
The motivation to lose weight has come back! One of my oldest friends (oldest as in I’ve known her the longest) is getting married in November! So I have a wedding and a hen do that I want to lose weight and look fabulous for!
Daz and I have already started making some positive changes. Snacks have been fruit salads and meals have been specially planned. I mean, just look at some of our meals from the last few weeks:

I cant tell you how yummy these meals have been. My taste buds have no idea what’s hit them! Not only that, but I’ve been feeling fuller for longer too. Win-win!
Also, that Colombian Egg Salad was amazing, so I’ve included the recipe for you in case you want to try it!
I feel so much more focused now. I have a timeframe and I know what I need to do! Unfortunately, since my post My Weight, I have actually gained weight so I have further to go. But I can do it!!
Mental Health
Things have been so much better with regards to my mental health recently. I seem to have recovered from my blip the other week, thank goodness! Also, I think knowing that there is finally light at the end of the long long loooooong lockdown tunnel is really helping!
What I’m Watching
So, I know I am totally late to the party but I have been watching The American Office. I can’t believe I haven’t watched this sooner, it is just too funny. I both love and am so irritated by some of the characters! I’ve even got Daz watching it as well. It is such easy watching, with plenty of laugh out loud moments.
I have also just rediscovered Ugly Betty on Disney+. I ADORED this programme when it first aired and I am so happy that it’s on Disney+. Obviously, its completely unrealistic and dramatic but anything to distract me from reality for a while!
What I’ve Loved This Month
Subscription boxes! I’ve recently signed Little J up to some monthly subscription boxes and we are loving them! Subscription boxes are specially curated boxes that get delivered to your door each month. The types of boxes you can get are arts and crafts, gardening, baking, educational etc.
We signed up for an arts and crafts box called toucanBox and also a gardening one called Mud and Bloom, which we are LOVING! I have a post reviewing Mud and Bloom if you want to have a read.
My Goals
I’ve put this off setting goals for long as I can. But it is now time. So;
- Lose 2lbs – Due to eating everything in sight, I am now up to 14st 5lbs. I don’t know what my end goal is, but I’m hoping this month I can start to turn things around
- Start some exercise – I HATE exercise. But, I’m thinking I might start easy and maybe start with yoga or maybe do a sit up or squat challenge
- Get 1,200 views – I’ve managed to crack 1,000 views per month, so now I’m stepping it up a gear! Any shares will be most welcome!
And that’s it from me for now. Thanks for looking back at February 2021 with me!
